Well, we've pushed back our departure date from the
original plan of May 15 by about two weeks because of a medical issue. I
was recently diagnosed with melanoma and needed to have some bits and pieces
removed. Thankfully, none of the now missing pieces diminish my movie
star good looks nor winning personality. The icing on the cake is that
the biopsies came back clean. However, my doc didn't want me fooling
around on the boat until he removed the stitches, hence the delay. He is
such a spoil sport. To those of you who already knew about this, thanks
for your support. To those who didn't, be thankful I didn't bother you
with this.
We're striving to get to Lake Ontario by about June 20th for
a family reunion so we'll plan fewer lay days in the first segment of the trip.
We've done this part of the trip in reverse (north to south) in two
weeks, so we remain cautiously optimistic we can do it in three weeks. The weather gods will have a big impact on whether we get back on schedule. The maps below show this part of the trip.
